A few of the questions we expect to get asked.
Older two-stroke outboards are our main focus, particularly the smaller engines commonly found on tinnies and older boats. We work across many major brands, subject to the job.
We offer basic four-stroke service work. We do not currently offer major four-stroke repairs or complex manufacturer-specific diagnostics.
Yes. BOS can handle selected trailer maintenance and repair work including hubs, bearings, rollers, winches and general setup.
BOS uses a message-first approach so we can understand what you're actually asking about before diagnosing a problem over the phone. Send the make, horsepower, model/year, symptoms and photos. Once the job is booked, we'll provide a direct contact number.
Absolutely. Photos of the engine, model/serial plate, fuel system, controls, trailer or problem area are often extremely useful.
It depends on the job, parts availability and current workload. We'll give you an indication once we've seen what you're dealing with.
Parts supply depends on the job. We'll discuss what is required and whether customer-supplied parts are suitable before proceeding.
Yes. BOS offers post-licence practical coaching on your own boat, trailer and equipment. It is not fishing instruction, a guided fishing trip or a licensing course.
That's part of the point. Bring the questions you've been saving up. We'll work through them while we're standing next to your actual boat and equipment.
Send us a message with what you've got and what it's doing. If it's within our scope, we'll tell you what the next step looks like.
